Short History/Current Bio: Uzumaki Naruto was born twelve years before the series start to Uzumaki Kushina and Namikaze Minato, the Fourth Hokage. Naruto was named after the lead character in one of Jiraiya's lesser known semi-biographical works, while Jiraiya himself got the name while eating ramen. Minato felt the main character's drive and determination made excellent qualities and he hoped to raise his son to be a shinobi like the "Naruto" character. Kushina agreed that the name would fit their son nicely. They then agreed that Jiraiya should be Naruto's godfather, as he was the finest shinobi they knew.

Jiraiya was embarassed but accepted the honor, a role he would finally fullfil later in life. A short time later within moments of having his umbilical cord cut, Naruto was made the vessel for the Kyuubi fox demon attacking Konoha. The Fourth Hokage was able to finally end its destruction when he used the Shiki Fuujin technique to seal the demon's yin chakra away and leave the yang within the body of his newborn son Naruto. Minato lost his life, but he made sure that the Kyuubi would help Naruto while sealed away. Jiraiya would later surmise Minato knew precisely what he was doing, putting such a burden on his new son. Minato would leave a "key" to Naruto's seal with Jiraiya and the toads, to allow Naruto to manipulate the seal holding the Kyuubi, potentially to utilize an unknown incomplete and powerful jutsu. Naruto would know neither of his parents, as Kushina was unable to raise her son for some unknown reason.

The imbuing of the Kyuubi made Naruto a "Jinchuuriki," a person with a tailed demon sealed within his body. As a side effect, Naruto would gain "whisker" marks on his cheeks. The hope of Jinchuuriki creation is for the human and the tailed beast to resonate together, thereby granting the human some measure of the demon's immense power. There were nine demons in total, known by their number of tails. Naruto got the nine-tailed and most powerful of the demons. The seals the Fourth used would ensure the Kyuubi would lend some of its power to Naruto. The seals would allow the Kyuubi chakra to leak back into Naruto's own chakra. This allows Naruto to draw on the chakra of the Kyuubi and still keep the Kyuubi itself imprisoned. The biggest benefits are the way it grants Naruto some measure of the Kyuubi's immense chakra and heals most any wounds he receives.

Personality: As a child, he was completely dependent on the adults in his life. His kindness was only surpassed by his naivety. In time he grew into a cold hearted man, turning his warm heart cold when the situation called for it. He wasn't a genius but it was not difficult to see that the other shinobi around him changed drastically. Because he did not have a kekkai genkai to influence him, Mizukai started these drastic changes in himself. Ideas and thoughts began to influence him in the stead of a kekkai genkai, he was becoming more of a shinobi than he ever thought he would be. Failure lead to a stronger resolve to complete it the second time around, Mizukai became obsessed with completing his training. So much that he would ignore his family whenever he wasn't bettering himself. In the end, the small, innocent, quiet and loving child raised by the Taiki clan no longer existed. Rather, he was replaced by an obsessive shinobi who would break ties with his village to gain power and prestige. Because of his travelings with the shinobi called Drarke, Mizukai's personality has split into two. The one above and another. When the urge to kill grows too powerful to bear, he disconnects himself emotionally but not physically. His entire demeanor changes, as his personality is rewritten. In this state, he would not care for even himself. He would cut through himself to end another's life. Both of these personality's alone are both equally powerful.


History/Bio: Kumogakure had always struggled to keep up with the other hidden villages. This was seen by even the smallest of children, watching as they're parents equipped worn down weaponry and tattered vests. Only the rich could afford to purchase new equipment when it was needed, and many were left to suffer. Mizukai was raised in the slums of Kumogakure, hiding in the shadows of the deserted alleyways with his friends. He was quite happy at the time and could be found playing with the other academy students. His father didn't allow him to stay out too long, his attempt at being an authoritative figure. But the moment his mothers watchful eyes wandered, he'd let him stay out for another round of tag. The Taiki clan had two requirements of their members. One was to always strive to protect each other, which was followed for the most part. The second was one that was never spoken of. Mizukai's years in the academy were both strange and interesting. He wasn't funny, at least he didn't think so. He would help his friends plan pranks and play jokes but he was never the one to come up with it. The chuunin who taught the classes all enjoyed having Mizukai in their classes. He showed up and was usually enamored by what they had to say. There was a strange feeling in the air, a sort of sensation that could be felt yet lay undetected for days. It was spring once more, and soon Mizukai would be celebrating his 11th birthday and his promotion to Genin. His father came down with the flu several days prior to Mizukai's birthday but was still able to give him his old genin vest.

Mizukai's genin team was nothing special, just a couple of other kids he grew up with, but the Jounin assigned to their team was one of the few villagers who could afford to have luxury equipment. Even at the age of 11, he knew that he would never be someone notable unless he did something. He spent the better part of 2 years soaking up every little bit of information that the jounin taught them. In the beginning, he'd been the weakest of the three but over time his skill's became refined. Experience was something he desperately wanted, pestering the Raikage to give him a decent mission. Finally, his request was given consent. It lasted for quite a while, pushing the entire team, as well as their sensei, to their limits. Beaten and bloody, Mizukai returned to his home in the dead of night. The lights were off except for the one in his room. He stumbled across the kitchen, stubbing his foot against the dinner table. He glanced down, making his way through the clutter of items. Something was wrong. It seemed the window in his parents room was wide open, sending a gust of air into his face. The stench of blood almost made him gag. Mizukai pushed the sliding door open completely. As he did so, the forearm of his father fell onto his foot. His pupils began to dilate, as he fought to interpret what he was seeing. His mind was screaming yet his body was paralyzed. The bodies of his parents lay in front of him covered in blood and debris. The entire north wall of the room was blown to smithereens. He suddenly felt strange, lighter than usual. With the bitter taste of iron in his mouth, he looked down at his chest to see a katana sticking out of his right side of his rib cage. The attacker leaned over his shoulder, opening their mouth and licking his cheek. "I've found Arashi's Son..and I'm going to make your life a living hell."

Mizukai awoke early the next morning in a haze of confusion. Prior to fainting, he had managed to rip a piece of jewelry from the attackers neck. The jounin of Kumogakure couldn't find an attacker, simply taking the corpses to be examined and buried. It was on this day that 13 year old Mizukai was accused with the murder of his parents. Nothing would ever be the same, with his parents dead and a 20 year sentence hanging over his head, Mizukai suffered. his anger grew with each passing day until he was thrown into prison. Every moment in his cell was comparable to hell. The prison system of Kumogakure was renowned for the brutal methods they used to stop any attempts of escape and completely reform their prisoners. Mizukai experienced this first hand, withstanding the most inhumane, excruciating beatings. The entire prison knew about the crime he was accused of, and many prisoners and guards saw to it that he always had some sort of wound everyday. The experiences Mizukai gained, along with the well of anger that accumulated in every fiber of his being fueled him to hone his skills and whet his need for knowledge. 8 years passed before a massacre occurred at the prison. Mizukai aided a new prisoner in killing over 400 shinobi including prisoners.He'd predicted that they would have about 3 days before Kumogakure would expect a general report of the prisons condition. Mizukai and his new acquaintance spent the better part of those a day and a half taking whatever scrolls they could find inside of the prison and memorizing what they couldn't take. Mizukai and the stranger went separate ways upon departing the prison. From that day on, Taiki Mizukai has become a missing shinobi. He has gone out of his way on several occasions to attack and kill Kumo shinobi, especially genin and chuunin. Because of his tendency to do this, he's been forced to change residence every once in a while.
